Getting what you focus on

I belong to this wonderful community called The Prosperity Tribe with David and Kristin Morelli. We had our morning call this morning (morning for me anyhow ... that Time Zone thing) and it was fantastic.

After the calls David and Kristin go into the forum and read everyone's posts, commenting and giving feedback ... I actually posted today and received an incredible Next Step! ...

Because they do this lots of people go into the forum and it's a real hive of activity of people posting comments and feedback about the calls and to each other ... such a great community.

While reading the posts I came across this one ... names removed ... which really made a fabulous point ... Not sure about you, but for me stories and examples make things so much more ... useable ... relevant ...

And in terms of 'Getting what you focus on' ... even when everything seems nothing is going the way you REALLY want it to ... this one is amazing! Read on ...

I just wanted to give you some words of encouragement, and something that worked for me that will probably work for you if you choose to use it.

I have been in the same type of vibration before, where it seems as if NOTHING is going right and things are just getting worse - you know, the downward spiral. If not the downward spiral, then just the status quo, where it just seems to be the same thing over and over again with nothing shifting.

What I found (and still use all the time) that really worked powerfully for me was that if I focused - and kept my attention! - on all of the many, many, many things that were going RIGHT, more and more things would start going right.

It is wonderful to do that deliberately, because when you do it deliberately and you watch your life shift around you because you are EXPECTING it to, then you really know that YOU are in control.

My e-mail signature says, "The way my life is right now is a direct result of my habits of thought."

I came to this realization when I decided, during a time when I was running for my life and homeless in the streets of Phoenix in 110 degree heat (having come from Oregon, where it was 60 degrees), that even in that situation - being a woman alone in a giant, unfamiliar city - that I had FAR more in my life to be grateful for than I did to complain about.

(This became my mantra during that time. "I have far more in my life to be grateful for than I do to complain about. Okay, what can I find right here and right now to be grateful for?")

Deliberately using it as a mantra, because I could feel the difference between, "Oh my God I'm so scared and I don't know what I'm going to do!!" and "I can be grateful for my cellular phone, because with it I can call my children in Oregon." Or whatever I would happen to think of.

When I deliberately focused my attention on what was going RIGHT, I found more and more things going RIGHT - because I was open and willing to see them, BECAUSE I WAS LOOKING FOR THEM.

And things began falling into place for me and within three weeks of running from Oregon I had the best job I'd ever had in my life, I had made some wonderful new friends (this was nine years ago and they are still my wonderful friends), and I had a place to live.

I firmly and absolutely believe that, "Where I place my attention I am placing my intention." (Mary Manin Morrissey) And when I place my attention on everything that's going right, the Universe says, "Okay! Here's some more wonderful stuff for you to add to your list!"

Isn't that the most inspiring story ... So ...

Where are you placing your attention right now? I'd love to know ... or if you have an inspiring story of your own then please share ...

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne

The Power of Intentions

As you may or may not be aware, I've shifted home and office recently.

You know what? Very little is in the same place as it was before! It's incredible how disarming that is. It's so caught me off guard and all the 'routines' I had a the other house have become obsolete.

So how does this relate to intentions you might well ask.

Well I'll tell you.
The other day I needed a letter box. This was a very simple process at the other house, we were surrounded by them. One on each of the main roads surrounding our house and one about a one kilometre round walk. So if I wasn't able to co-ordinate it with a trip out or I was pushed for time to walk myself, one of children could go.

Here however, do you think I could remember to keep my eyes out for one on my trips out, either driving or walking? I'd get home and I still hadn't found one.

The other day I had a letter I HAD to post, it was URGENT! I HAD to have a letter box. Being someone who likes to make the most of trips out, I collected my letter and all the "No longer at this address' mail, both what I had accumulated and that which had been delivered as I was leaving and put it in the car.

I set my inte
ntion 'Today I have to post these letters and I want a letterbox near the house'.

As it happened the car was facing the other way to the direction I had to go and as the street was full of cars, I decided instead of doing a U turn I'd go up our street and down the one behind us.

As I came to the street I had to turn into to get back on track for where I was going ... guess what I saw ... you guessed it ...
directly in front of me ... was a shiny, red Australia Post letterbox!

Now, I realized that seeing as it had been grafitti 'd by some thoughtful person, as you can see in the photo, that it hadn't been put there overnight. Quite frankly I couldn't believe my eyes!

I'm not quite sure how many times I've driven down that street, even come at the street from the same angle and actually even gone for walks along that street and never until that moment had I actually seen the letterbox!

I was dumbfounded! Speechless even!

It got me to thinking ... How amazing is the Power of Intention! And I also thought ... well let's save that for next time ....

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne

Why Would I Want to .... ?

At the beginning of this year, I made up my mind to achieve some big goals and the year has been magical to say the least. It's quite miraculous how stuff has 'turned up' just at the moment when I needed some encouragement or compassion or the proverbial 'kick'.

Whenever I happen to get to that point of overwhelm or procrastination or that feeling of nothing's happening, something happens to help me along the way.
That's so what I love about setting an intention or a goal. That's so what I love about the whole coincidence thing is how things just 'turn up'.

My goal has been revised, re-shaped like a living breathing entity of it's own.

The point however is, there have been times when it would have been so much less confronting to have 'settled for.' But because I've surrounded myself with friends who are on a similar journey, I've subscribed to newsletters of people who have a 'go for it' outlook, I've been able to look for the gold in each situation.

And you know what the more I do it the easier it gets.
Go on give it a go ... look for the gold in your life. Love life and live it creatively, Leanne

The Funny Thing About Life and Dr Joe Dispenza

My partner and I set a very clear intention at the beginning of this year to start living the life we wanted to be living. Since we set that intention it's been awe inspiring the way things have just happened.

On the face of it these things haven't always seemed at first glance to be good things and other things which have appeared in the first instance to be fabulous we're now having to look for the beauty/learning.

In my audio, 'Feeling Great for no particular reason' I quote Dr Joe Dispenza's now famous quote from 'What the Bleep' about the Observer ...

I'm taking this time to create my day and I'm infecting the quantum field.

Now if (it) is in fact the observer's watching me the whole time that I'm doing this and there is a spiritual aspect to myself, then show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won't expect, so I'm as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things.

And make it so that I have no doubt that it's come from you, and so I live my life, in a sense, all day long thinking about being a genius or thinking about being the glory and the power of God or thinking about being unconditional love.
What I've found is that I'm now looking for the 'signs' and even if things don't initially look like a sign, it's amazing how things can change once you've made the decision that if it's happened to you there is a sign in there somewhere.

Take a moment and reflect on something that's happened to you recently ... if you committed to finding the sign in it, what would it be? How could that impact your life going forward in an empowering way?

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne
