You can’t change a habit unless you replace it with another one.
The same is true of motivation. You can’t change how motivated you are unless you replace the undesirable motivation with a desirable one. Hence, you have to understand whether your motivation is a positive one or a destructive one.
Once your inspiration is identified, you must build on that inspiration until you create an intense hunger in yourself.
This means that you commit to taking responsibility for your own life. You set new goals for yourself or review your existing goals, as well as your reasons for setting them.
As you prepare to tap into your inspirations, ask yourself the following questions. Once you tap into this amazing source of motivation, you can create your own personal call to action.
1. What do you love to do? 2. What would you do with your life if you could do anything? 3. What inspires you? 4. What do you want to achieve in this life? 5. If you had all the money in the world, what would you do with your life?
To facilitate motivation and change, you must know and understand the answer to each of these questions. You can only facilitate change in yourself if you understand your motivation for making the change in the first place. 1. What knowledge and information do you need to take action? 2. Are you more motivated by inspiration, desperation or a combination of the two? 3. What is the cost of staying the same, or what will happen if you don’t change? 4. What are the benefits you'll receive when you make the change you are asking of yourself? 5. Do you feel capable and competent enough to make that change? Remember: Life is a game and the more fun you're having the more you'll attract the things you really want in life.

Be careful what you believe because that's what you will experience. Sounds a bit woo woo doesn't it ... but, whether you believe it or not, it makes no difference ... there's a growing body of science that's proved and is continuing to prove this to be true!
Your belief system is a mechanism which is uniquely yours. It's powered by your desire and controlled by your thoughts and actions. In other words, your success is measured by the strength of your belief.
What is it that you desire? Often people don't have a clue what it is they want, they just know what they do not want. And how often have you noticed that there's lots of what you don't want in your life? True or true!
So it's a good time now, to evaluate your goals and determine the end result you REALLY want to achieve.
Put your goals in writing and place them where you can see them often every day. Read them frequently to keep them fresh on your mind. Be inquisitive. Research and learn as much as you can on how you can achieve your goal. Use all possible resources like books, CDs, courses and people.
Yes, people. Talk to as many people you can who are already successful in what you want to achieve. Ask, ask and ask some more about what they did to reach success.
Stretch yourself outside of the people you already know. Introduce yourself by phone or mail, explain your purpose for contacting them and ask for a tip.
The worst thing that can happen is that they ignore you. The best thing that can happen is that they become your mentor and offer support and encouragement. Chances are you'll receive at least one great tip from many of the people you contact. This method is the least expensive and most rewarding.
Be unique Next, take the ideas you learn, embellish them and come up with your own creative process. Think how you can approach your goal in a way that no one else has.
Dare to be different. Don’t be afraid to take risks. What do you have to loose?
Write out a list showing the worst things that could happen and then list all of the best possible outcomes. Always maintain your concentration on your desired result.
Be open to giving things a go When you were a child and saw older children riding a bike (without training wheels), you didn’t look at their scraped knees and elbows and say, 'Whoa, I could get hurt doing that.'
Instead, you saw the fun they were having and begged to try it for yourself. With a great deal of practice and maybe even pain, you gradually learned how to maintain your balance yourself.
Before long you were trying to 'out do' your friends with your speed or fancy tricks. When you fell, you'd get back on and try again with even greater determination.
From your very first effort, you would have believed in your mind that you'd eventually learn to ride. I bet you even knew in your mind you'd be the best in the neighborhood, in your school, in the state, in the world!
Be positive If you see obstacles before you, then you'll mostly see problems. If you have hesitations that you plan won't work, then it won't work. If you're influenced by the power of negative people, then you'll never be any better than they are.
Believe in yourself and what you are capable of achieving. When your desire to succeed is stronger than the pain, fear or frustration of failing, there's no turning back.
I challenge you to view your goals just like you did when you were a child, when you only saw the possibilities. Remember, anything is possible as long as you believe. Make a commitment that you'll not let anything or anyone, including yourself stand in your way ... that you'll keep on keeping on until you reach your goals.
Love life and live it creatively and on purpose!

Yet another Gem from my inbox ... I do hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
This is a master piece.. If you have not read it take the time to read it now. And ... If you have read it take time to read it again!
GEORGE CARLIN ( Who died not long ago.) Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent ... and so very appropriate.
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints.
We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space.
We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait.
We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight or show it to others ...
Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember; say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.
Remember to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Love life and live it creatively,
Leanne

The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire. ~ Ferdinand Foch
What makes your heart sing? What's your passion? What do you enjoy doing?
Sometimes we need to do things to bring in the money. There are basic needs like a roof over your head and food on the table that need to be addressed, particularly if you have children.
Sometimes though we can lose the joy life because what we're spending our day doing is not our greatest love.
I'm not sure if you can relate to this or not, but what I've found is the more I focus on what I don't want, the more of what I don't want there seems to be?
Go figure!
Some how or another, one of those wonderful mysteries of life, the more fun I'm having, the more 'luck' I seem to have.
What's your experience?

I don't know if this is something you can relate to or not, but Personally, one of the things I love about life is the way things 'turn up' when I least expect it to confirm the path I'm on.
Surfing the web today researching for my business, I came across Steve Jobs' brilliant commencement address to graduates of Stanford University delivered on June 12, 2005. This is a truly inspiring and brilliant speech! I didn't really even know who Steve Jobs was beside the fact that he was the man behind Apple Computer. This speech gives everyone the opportunity to understand some of the amazing turn of events in his life and how he ended up being the CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios.
He shares 3 very big lessons he has learned in this 15 minute speech.
For all of you who are wondering why me? Or whether or not you're on the right path, this speech will give a tool to use to test your thinking and the inspiration you might need to keep doing (looking) what you love.
To watch, simply press the Play button on the player control. If you have dial-up or a slow Internet connection, start the video, press the Pause button and let the video load all the way. Then you can watch it smoothly.
Sit back, relax and clear your mind for 15 minutes and take in this great motivational speech! Love life and live it creatively,
Leanne
