Oh the mistakes I've made!

If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner. ~ Tallulah Bankhead

I love this quote. There's a part of me that really wishes I could have learnt the lessons I've learnt a whole lot faster. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could fast track all the mistakes and bunch them up into a smaller piece of time so we got all the learnings we needed faster?
Would be the same people or we are now only younger? Or would we be someone different? What do you think?

The Other Side of the Rainbow

If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain.
~ Dolly Parton
Isn't this true. Steven Jobs put it really well in his commencement speech didn't he? Some of the best things in his life happened to him out of what could have been seen as the worst points in his life.
I'm sure if you reflect back over your life some of the major turning points would have come at times when things hadn't gone quite the way you'd planned them. I know that's how it's been for me.
I can remember as I was growing up one of the sayings which got right up my nose so to speak was the one 'Time heals.' When you're a teenager and life has gone belly up the last thing you want to hear is 'Time heals.' When you're in the midst of a personal crisis you know darn well time is never going to heal you're wounds!
One of the more charming things that you really do appreciate as you grow older is the recognition of the truth of this most used (and formerly unwanted) statement. And now I've learnt it so well that I now find I'm telling myself, 'It's okay Leanne, remember, time heals. This too shall pass.'
The other thing I find myself doing is looking for the good that can come out of something that doesn't feel so wonderful.
When I get to focusing on the 'yuk' I've now put together a growing list of MindRight statements to turn myself around. And the great thing about it is the more I use them the better they work.
I'd really love to know, what sort of things do you do to turn your focus around when the going gets tough?

Steve Jobs ... Love what you do ...

I don't know if this is something you can relate to or not, but Personally, one of the things I love about life is the way things 'turn up' when I least expect it to confirm the path I'm on.

Surfing the web today researching for my business, I came across Steve Jobs' brilliant commencement address to graduates of Stanford University delivered on June 12, 2005.

This is a truly inspiring and brilliant speech! I didn't really even know who Steve Jobs was beside the fact that he was the man behind Apple Computer. This speech gives everyone the opportunity to understand some of the amazing turn of events in his life and how he ended up being the CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios.

He shares 3 very big lessons he has learned in this 15 minute speech.

For all of you who are wondering why me? Or whether or not you're on the right path, this speech will give a tool to use to test your thinking and the inspiration you might need to keep doing (looking) what you love.

To watch, simply press the Play button on the player control. If you have dial-up or a slow Internet connection, start the video, press the Pause button and let the video load all the way. Then you can watch it smoothly.

Sit back, relax and clear your mind for 15 minutes and take in this great motivational speech!

A Mouse Trap Story . . . With A Moral At The End.

This is an excellent story ... it came to me via my inbox ... and I thought I'd share it with you.

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food might this contain?' wondered the mouse. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning:

There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, 'Mr Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.'

The mouse turned to the pig and told her,

There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!

The pig sympathized but said, 'I am so very sorry, Mr Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.'

The mouse turned to the cow and said,

There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!

The cow said, "Wow, Mr Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose.'

So. the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap ... alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house .. like the sound of a mousetrap catching it's prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you ... remember ... when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

Let everyone who has ever helped you out know how important they are. REMEMBER ... each of us is a vital thread in another person's tapestry; lives are woven together for a reason.

One of the best things to hold onto in this world is a FRIEND!

How Can I Change a Negative Vibration

If you're getting a negative result you're having a negative thought.

If you're having a negative thought you're using negative words.

How do you know if you're using negative words, check in with the results you're getting and if they're not what you really want them to be then you need to change the words your using so you can change the thoughts you're having and thus the results you're getting.

Michael
Losier describes this process in a really simple way ... simply press your 'reset button'.

It's a very simple
neuro linguistic programming (NLP) process called a pattern interrupt.

One of the most wonderful things about the Law of Attraction is it has no memory. It can only operate on what you're thinking in this present moment. I wouldn't want you to take this as a direct suggestion, but you could make a decision to think about what you're thinking about. And when you catch yourself thinking in way that isn't what you really want you could choose to ask yourself as Michael
Losier states: "So what do I really want?"

Law of Attraction - What's In Your Vibrational Bubble?

Today I received in the regular post (snail mail) a gift from a friend, a book and an audio by Law of Attraction expert Michael Losier.

I don't know if you can relate to this or not, but I'm always so grateful when the Universe confirms what I'm doing. It doesn't matter how right things feel there are occasions when to have that confirmation it just takes your motivation and commitment to that next level.

I've found some audio so you can listen to this wonderful man talk about on small facet of the science of the Law of Attraction. Enjoy!

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne
