The Brick

My inbox has come to the fore again ...

Read this all the way to the end and let it really sink in. If God is a word you're not comfortable with replace it in your head with Allah, Buddha, the Universe, Goddess, All that is ... what ever suits your viewpoint ...

THE B
RICK
A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door!

He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, 'What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?'

The young boy was apologetic. 'Please, mister... please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,' He pleaded. 'I threw the brick because no one else would stop ...'

With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. 'It's my brother, 'he said. 'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up.'

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, 'Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me.'

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts.

A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.

'Thank you and may God bless you,' the grateful child told the stranger.

Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push
his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message:

'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!'

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts.
Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

Thought for the Day:

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.

He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but ...
He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Read this line very slowly and let it sink in ...
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne

How Easy is it to Have What You Want?

For a long time now I've put a lot of effort into creating my outcomes ... it's been hard work and stressful even though I love what I do. I continually seem to be pushing and drowning in overwhelm.

One of the things I've been able to do is think of things and it happens ... it's like magic really ...

For example the other day I was in the city, I looked up at the Crown Casino and thought ... wouldn't it be lovely to have a night in a luxurious room, with a view and valet parking and a meal and breakfast and a spa ...just me and my wonderful man!

There was no way it was going to happen so I wasn't attached to the outcome and I let the thought go ... I let the thought go so far out there that when my man came home a couple of days later and asked me whether I'd like Saturday or Sunday night in the Crown Casino I was thrilled but didn't link it to my 'daydream' a couple of days previous.

It wasn't until I was hopping out of the car in the Valet Parking area that I remembered having the thought at all. And boy oh boy the feeling that gave me when I remembered was just magnificent!

This was so easy and simple ... a thought ... a picture ... a feeling ... it was gone in the blink of an eye ... and a couple of days later it was there ... a reality ... in my wildest dreams I couldn't have worked out where this was going to come from.

And yet it appeared!
It was such a learning lesson for me about how easy it is to have what I want. So the question now ... is how can I take that learning into the rest of my life?

And the question for you is how easy can you make having what you want? My guess is ... If I can do it you can too! Let me know how you get on.

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne

Why Would I Want to .... ?

At the beginning of this year, I made up my mind to achieve some big goals and the year has been magical to say the least. It's quite miraculous how stuff has 'turned up' just at the moment when I needed some encouragement or compassion or the proverbial 'kick'.

Whenever I happen to get to that point of overwhelm or procrastination or that feeling of nothing's happening, something happens to help me along the way.
That's so what I love about setting an intention or a goal. That's so what I love about the whole coincidence thing is how things just 'turn up'.

My goal has been revised, re-shaped like a living breathing entity of it's own.

The point however is, there have been times when it would have been so much less confronting to have 'settled for.' But because I've surrounded myself with friends who are on a similar journey, I've subscribed to newsletters of people who have a 'go for it' outlook, I've been able to look for the gold in each situation.

And you know what the more I do it the easier it gets.
Go on give it a go ... look for the gold in your life. Love life and live it creatively, Leanne
