Lilian Too says Feel the Fear of Taking Risks

Allow your thoughts to excite you. Feel the fear of taking risks. Acknowledge that it is all a little scary. Then overcome your fears by thinking about the rewards, which can be limitless. Go with the flow!
~Lilian Too

Fear is a ‘Possibility Stealer’. No-one is exempt from it, although some have got better at dealing with it. A lot of people have lived with fear for so long they don't even realize they're living with it. Yet, nothing compromises you more than the fear you've grown accustomed to.

Fear can weave itself into your thoughts every time you decide to make a change or do something differently. In that moment of decision, a trail of thoughts and feelings is ignited and entwines its way into minds … our baggage from the past … so that you can end up feeling that ‘Well … maybe this isn’t the best time …’ or other action delaying conclusions.

One way of dealing with fearful / negative feelings, which most of us have got quite proficient with, is to use it as a clue to stop what we’re doing and stay with what we know.

And yet I’m sure you know someone who never seems to let fear take over thoughts. So why is it that some people deal efficiently with fear and others don’t?

Attention and Awareness are the keys. Fear takes over your mind when you take your attention and awareness off how you’re feeling and lose yourself in your thoughts. One thought leads to another, then another and before you know it … there’s a ‘reason’ or an ‘excuse’ to stop doing what you’re doing.

Fear comes as those ‘rational’ thoughts which ‘make sense’ or confusion and inability to make a decision or worry, anxiety, regret, resentment, frustration or anger to name a few. It’s those nebulous thoughts which leave you feeling deflated and out of sorts.

The key to using fear as a catalyst are Attention and Awareness to what you’re thinking and how you’re feeling. The very moment you notice yourself feeling ‘stressed’ or out of sorts, is the very moment you need to reclaim your Attention and Awareness rather than consenting to go along with it.

And you can do this easily by maintaining your Awareness and Attention and changing the questions you ask yourself. Start your mind searching for the ‘reasons’ why you can be do and have all the awesome, beautiful, wonderful things you truly deserve in this life.

Are You Living Your Life Deliberately?

I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to love deep and suck out all the marrow of life. ~ Henry David Thoreau

Are you at choice in your life?

Do you take the time to go deep inside yourself and understand what you really want in life?

For so many of us, life takes over ... we get so caught up in doing, that's there's no time to be.

Take some quiet time for yourself and get in touch with what's truly important to you! Once you understand on that on your deepest level the choice to 'Be true to yourself' is so much easier. And the upshot of that is you'll open your life to receive more of what you really want.

And the very bestest thing about that is because you're happier and more fulfilled you'll be able to give more to the people around you and they too will be happier and more fulfilled. This means that if you aren't in a space where you feel you can do this for yourself ... do it for the people you love!

Love life and live it creativley,

Leanne

Never Underestimate the Importance of a Kind Act

On a Breakfast radio show in here Melbourne they used to have a wonderful segment called Random Acts of Kindness. People would write in and tell them of someone who had touched their hearts and wanted to do something extra special for.

The stories were heartwarming and varied. What they highlighted though was every person's ability to impact the lives of the people around them whether you know them or not. It could be a kind word or deed or the simple act of giving away a smile.

The wonderful thing about giving, is that the more we give the more we get, the more grateful we are for what we get the more we get and the more we have to give. And unlike the chicken and the egg, it begins with giving and gratitude.

What could you do to connect in a good way with the people around you?

Love life and live it creatively,

Will Things Stay the Way They Are?

Because things are the way they are, things will not stay the way they are. ~ Bertolt Brecht

The one thing I've noticed as I've gotten older is that just because things are the way they are today doesn't mean that's what they are going to be like tomorrow ... or even 5 minutes from now.

Things can change in an instant once we make the decision to put our minds to it in a systematic way.

Relax, think about what you really want, and know in your heart that it's true or something better will come about.

Love life and live it creatively,

If You Can't Change it, Change the Way You Feel

If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain. ~ Maya Angelou

I came across this quote and thought how true is this!

It's one thing to 'get it out of our system' by having a good old 'hissy fit' but how often do we get caught telling and re-telling the same story over and over again?

If you subscribe to the belief that we get what we think about and we're telling and re-telling the story of what we don't want then what are we going to get more of? There are so many things that with a little bit of imagination we can re-frame and how much better would our lives feel if we looked for the good in the events of our lives.

After all, it's not what happens to us that counts, it's how we interpret it.

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne

Today is a Gift!

Always remember that the future comes one day at a time.
~Dean Acheson

Today is a gift, the gift of life. It's a present something to look forward to with excitement and enthusiasm.

Sometimes we can get so caught up in the past and the future that we forget to remember that the only moment we have absolute control over is the NOW!

What would your life look, sound and feel like if you made the decision to enjoy every single moment and chose to look for the 'silver' lining in every event?

Love life and live it creatively.

The Funny Thing About Life and Dr Joe Dispenza

My partner and I set a very clear intention at the beginning of this year to start living the life we wanted to be living. Since we set that intention it's been awe inspiring the way things have just happened.

On the face of it these things haven't always seemed at first glance to be good things and other things which have appeared in the first instance to be fabulous we're now having to look for the beauty/learning.

In my audio, 'Feeling Great for no particular reason' I quote Dr Joe Dispenza's now famous quote from 'What the Bleep' about the Observer ...

I'm taking this time to create my day and I'm infecting the quantum field.

Now if (it) is in fact the observer's watching me the whole time that I'm doing this and there is a spiritual aspect to myself, then show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won't expect, so I'm as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things.

And make it so that I have no doubt that it's come from you, and so I live my life, in a sense, all day long thinking about being a genius or thinking about being the glory and the power of God or thinking about being unconditional love.
What I've found is that I'm now looking for the 'signs' and even if things don't initially look like a sign, it's amazing how things can change once you've made the decision that if it's happened to you there is a sign in there somewhere.

Take a moment and reflect on something that's happened to you recently ... if you committed to finding the sign in it, what would it be? How could that impact your life going forward in an empowering way?

Love life and live it creatively,

Leanne
